Mini Vacay

Tags

Josh had to make a last minute trip to SLC for a class so at midnight last Friday/Saturday we packed the kids and clothes in the car and left. Because Josh and I were so tired we slept at a rest stop for a couple hours so we didn't reach Jay and Steph's house until 7:00 a.m. Jacquie and Emily always come upstairs when they wake up so they can play with our kids. This is a picture of all of them playing and jumping on the bed. They did this for about 20 min without any incident or fighting.
Caleb ran out of clothes while we were there so the girls dressed him.
They had him in a pretty blue shirt some cute pink pants and really pretty black shoes. At one point they had him in a really pretty pink princess dress. I had a picture of it but Josh took the kids outside to play and take pictures in the yard and he must have deleted it. LOL. He didn't want his son immortalized on the blogs forever like that I guess.
I couldn't get a picture but Natalie was straddling this guitar totally kissing it. Twice! but I missed the chance to capture it so all you get is her playing with it. She loves guitars just like Caleb and Josh.

Natalie wanted to be in the picture see how she's ducking under my arm and smiling trying to get in. What the picture is really about though is the seriously HUGE goose egg on Emily's head. I talked my Sis-In-Law into letting me take her daughter to our house until Thanksgiving and then she gets beaten up! What really happened is I put the kids to bed and Josh heard some noise so he went to check. Emily was just opening the door and saw Josh coming and ran really fast back into bed. When she did this she overshot her landing and landed smack dab right into the side rail of the bed. She hit it so hard that she got a goose egg that stood out about 1/2 inch and was I swear an inch and a half wide! Poor girl. We dosed her with Tylenol and I cuddled her with Ice on her head for like 30 minutes. Today she says she ok but that it hurts a little. Poor baby girl.
